Come to think of it.

Last Sunday's gospel can be read to give various lessons. But there's one that our priest pointed out which I've never read before.

He concentrates on:

“For the children of this world are more prudent in dealing with their own generation than are the children of light." (Luke 16:8)

The priest explains it wonderfully. Masmaparaan pa ang mga masasama kaysa sa mga mabubuti. People can be so intelligently cunning when they want to do something wrong. But when it comes to doing good, less effort and thinking are exerted.

If only the good choose to use their minds and abilities to the fullest as much as those who do evil, instead of just accepting the situation of society, then maybe, cliche as it may be, there is a better world in store for us.
