family day '06

We won over-all champion in the games.

But what was truly great about this day was the camaraderie. I have never seen our batch cooperate, cheer and act the way we did today. We were very proud of our victories but remained gracious in defeat. There was just so much love for the batch and I’m pretty sure everyone in that gym felt it too. It was our last family day in Pisay and we showed everyone how a batch is suppose to act. We showed everyone what the family day was all about – family, bonding, fun and love.

But none of my words would ever be able to explain how great I felt about 07 today. I’ve never felt as proud of our batch as I did today. Kahit yung almost sweep of last year’s awards couldn’t compare to this. I feel so blessed that I'm in this batch. I guess it’s the fact that we’re parting ways soon. But we’re not done yet. Pisay, expect great things from us this year. GO ’07!!!

Well! He wasn't exactly a celibroty.

We met Gen. Hermogenes Esperon, who is a Pisay alumnus. AFP CHIEF OF STAFF lang naman siya.

youth camp :)

The camp was great. Ang galing talaga ni God forever! Parang sabi either ni Ray2 or Fatima, hindi ko na itrtry idescribe dahil baka masira pa. Basta ang alam ko. God was there. He came and touched the hearts of the participants. To God be all the honor & glory!!!

To the service team, I couldn’t possibly thank you all enough.

To the participants and new brothers and sisters in the community, welcome! I’m excited to work with you in God’s vineyard. God bless!!!

*Momentary sigh of relief*

Thankfully the most dreaded test of the entire year is done and over with. Haay. I’m sure alam niyo that I’m referring to the UPCAT.

Sa mga hindi pa tapos, God bless. We are praying for you. Tip: Just relax. The test is more or less easy. You just have to be aware of the time and as all the teachers say, never take too long answering a single item. After all, pareho lang 1 point for both easy and difficult questions. And ang pinakaimportante, pray. It really helps.

As I always do when I go through an important event, I have some acknowledgements (the rest will come after I pass (ultimate faith in God… haha… :D)):
Sa lahat ng nagdasal para sa akin at para sa lahat in general…
My parents… who were very supportive, woke up at 4 am to bring me to UP, bought me chicken nuggets, treated me out after the test and prayed for me constantly
And most importantly GOD - who helped me stay calm during the test, gave me clarity of mind and for being my strength

Since tapos na ang UPCAT, ngayon naman perio, English essay, reader’s theater, Sci Scho, press con at youth camp. *sigh*

russian bread

Here’s one story that Fr. George mentioned in his homily last Sunday, the celebration of the solemnity of the body and blood of Christ.

According to him, this story can answer the question as to why we don’t feel anything when we receive the Holy Eucharist even if this is the Body of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Some Americans and Russians worked together in a mission. At one point, they had no other food left but Russian bread (very hard bread according to Fr. George). One American was very hungry so he decided to try the bread. Because it was so tough, one of his teeth fell of. He got dismayed and said, “useless communist bread.” The Russian heard this and said, “That’s not useless communist bread. It’s just weak capitalist tooth.” üüüü

Harbour Center Portmasters...

are the PBL Unity Cup 2006 champions.

They worked hard to climb from the bottom but they victoriously made it to the top. Every single one of them did what they had to do. They truly deserve the championship.

Congratulations Harbour!

And once again I'd like to mention, it's only their 3rd conference in the PBL.
